Texans

The Houston Texans are facing a major problem going into week 13. They have lost their first string quarterback (Matt Schaub) due to a season ending foot injury. Also, they have lost their second stringer (Matt Leinart) due to a broken collarbone. Now, everyone is wondering whether or not the team will be able to remain in the playoff race. The Texans will start their rookie quarterback T.J. Yates. His play last week has many people believing that the Texans will compete for a playoff spot. But are they right?

Texans QB's

In my opinion, the Texans will be fine and remain in the hunt for the playoffs. They have a good enough team, with surrounding players, to get the job done. They have a great runningback in Arian Foster. And also, their star wide receiver, Andre Johnson, is returning to play following his injury. They are just an all around solid team, and if the play of Yates improves at all, they will be a good contender for the playoffs.

  1. I agree. A team's ability to succeed should not be based off one player on the team. since it is a team sport, they should be fine considering that they have some great players on their team. They should not have any problem getting a playoff spot despite the fact that their first two QB's are both out for injuries.

  2. I disagree with Dominic on this one. I believe that the Texans will begin to fall apart after losing both their first and second string QBs. Don't get me wrong here, the Texans are nothing like the Indianapolis Colts that put all of their faith into one athlete (Peyton Manning). Maybe the Texans will be okay, but I don't believe they will at this point in the season. They do not have enough experience with this quarterback to have any success, in the passing game anyway.

  3. I will be siding with Kyles comment on this one Dominic and be going againt Chris Antolin's response as well. Chris says that not the while team can be based off of one player, right? Well, suprisingly, look who your home team in man, the Colt's. Did you know that thy're 0-11 due to Manning not playing? Anyways, I do feel as if the Texans will start to lose there playoff contention becuase of all the presure on the rookie QB Yates.

  4. Having watched the game today, I agree with Dominic. The Texans are competing for the top record in the AFC and will most likely make the playoffs. They will be fine with TJ Yates starting QB, like Chris said, it's a team sport. When Andre Johnson gets back to 100%, and Arian Foster (injured this weekend) too, the Texans will be a good competitor.

  5. I believe that the Texans are going to start to fall because they have lost 3 of their best player. A team can not be good when there best players are out.
